Monal,

Monal.
Another name that is given to the state bird of Uttarakhand
is the Imperial Pheasant.
The state
bird of Uttarakhand belongs to the ‘Lophophorus’ of the
Pheasant family (Phasianidae). The state bird of Uttarakhand
is famous for its white rump: but the male Himalayan
Monals
lack the white rump, instead they have a green rump.
