Jeolikote (1.219m) with a petrol pump, midway between
kathgodam and Nainital is famous as a health resort and
for its butterflies, as also for the production of honey,
mushrooms and fruits including strawberries and leechi.
Jeolikote is visited not only by agriculturalists but by
tourists who come to learn about the ‘birds and the bees’.
With its mild climate, it is ideal for people who can’t
stand high altitudes. It also an important place from
educational point of view as having boarding school of
repute.
